THE GREAT PACIFIC GARBAGE PATCH
IT IS NO LONGER A PATCH…IT IS TWICE THE SIZE OF TEXAS

WHY CHOOSE EARTH’S BREW?

BECAUSE TOGETHER WE CAN CHANGE THE WORLD!

Earth’s Brew was created to share this most incredible water with the world.  The company made a decision to not have any in the packaging and distribution of the different products we create.  Further, it is the goal of Earth’s Brew to pressure plastic mongering companies to make a change to canning in their product offering.   Plastic, whether recyclable or not is bad for maintaining the quality of the water, and the quality of our world.

THE GREAT PACIFIC GARBAGE PATCH

IT IS NO LONGER A PATCH…IT IS TWICE THE SIZE OF TEXAS

Research indicates that the patch is rapidly accumulating. The patch is believed to have increased "10-fold each decade" since 1945. Estimated to be double the size of Texas, the area contains more than 3 million short tons (2.7 million metric tons) of plastic. The gyre contains approximately six pounds of plastic for every pound of plankton.A similar patch of floating plastic debris is found in the Atlantic Ocean, called the North Atlantic garbage patch.[This growing patch contributes to other environmental damage to marine ecosystems and species.

LOOKS REFRESHING RIGHT?

11% of household waste is plastic, 40% of which is plastic bottles. A plastic cup can take 50 - 80 years to decompose. An estimated 13 billion plastic bottles are disposed of each year. Plastic bags and other plastic garbage thrown into the ocean kill as many as 1 million sea creatures every year.
